Chihuly at Botanical Gardens
Thursday, May 28th, 2009Matt and I visited the Botanical Gardens to see the Dale Chihuly exhibit. I have been in love with Chihuly’s work since I saw a documentary in high school, and the flower installation Fiori di Como on the ceiling at the Belagio Hotel. So beautiful. This exhibit was really interesting, mixing the vibrant, colorful glass with the muted desert plants. Here are a few pics from the day.
The Sun. This was just absolutely stunning! How do you go about to assemble that?
Once in a Blue Moon.
This was my favorite installation piece. I love how the glass reflects in the water.

Friday, January 16th, 2009What can I say to describe an awesome week in such a cool city! I started off the new year with a trip to windy, SNOWY, beautiful Chicago. It was truly a winter wonderland with new snow falling everyday. Along with some great shopping and restaurants, Matt took me to the Art Institute of Chicago. It was amazing…. I’ve never seen so many Monets and Manets in one place… such a fun week! Here are a few pics from the trip.
I am loving my new program that stitches together photos to create a panoramic.
cocoa beach
Saturday, December 27th, 2008While in Florida we got to visit our friends, the Wild family. Spent the day at the beach soaking in the sun and surfing. I enjoyed snapping some pics. I never get tired of capturing the ocean.
There was a couple who had just been married. I love this shot. The little boy was toooo cute!
While the boys surfed us girls did a mini photo-shoot. Fun times.

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008san juan islands
Sunday, July 27th, 2008There are over 700 islands that make up the San Juan Islands. Ferry boats allow you to travel between a few of the big islands, and the rest you have to access by small plane or boat. Many of them are privately owned. We stayed on San Juan… it is such a diverse island, with so much to do. I attended the Lavender Festival, saw orca whales and sun bathing seals, and there was even a camel grazing in a pasture.
