Tea Favorites March 9th, 2010

My first winter in Chicago has felt like forever!!!!! I am ready for spring. My favorite teas below have helped get me through the cold winter days : )

Pomegranate Blueberry Tea from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

This tea is so delicious. It has a unique taste from the mix of fruits.  It’s a combination of green, oolong, and black teas, infused with blueberry and pomegranate for a delightfully aromatic tea. Also, try it in the summer as an iced tea .

Relax from Trader Joes

This is my new favorite tea, that my tea loving mom told me about. It is true to its name. It literally relaxes you! It is packed with deliciousness including fennel seed, licorice, rooibos, anise, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, peppermint and strawberry leaf. This taste of this tea lingers, and will have you craving a second cup.

chicago lifestyle photography: raechelle m March 7th, 2010

I took some headshots for my sweet friend Raechelle. I had so much fun exploring the River North area with her. Raechelle was so great in front of the lens. She totally rocked it!

pieces of a real heart January 26th, 2010

I had the opportunity to design a cd cover for my friends Sanctus Real. They had a few designers work on cover ideas… in the end they went with a different cover. Their new cd titled Pieces of a Real Heart comes out in March. It is a great record so pick up a copy.

Here was one my cover proposals.

    Britt;
    I think this is great. I’m proud of you and your work.

  2. Gabriel Lerma:

    I like it!! I’m a huge fan of Sanctus Real. I’ll always remember the time my friends and I went to go see them perform in Bourbannais, IL. We arrived late and while walking through the parking lot on our way to the auditorium we ran into Matt riding his vintage bicycle around. He was a really laid back and super nice guy. We proceeded to talk to him for about 15 minutes. I hope their new album sounds more like Fight the Tide :o). They’ve gotten a bit soft in my opinion…lol.

who will help the church? January 18th, 2010

snapshot-2010-01-18-23-32-14

Pastor James McDonald of Harvest Bible Chapel here in Chicago, along with Pastor Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church in Seattle, are in Haiti as we speak getting the stories of how the earthquake has affected the church in Haiti. They are assessing what can be done to meet the immediate needs of the church in the toughest areas. The goal is to share what they discover and to raise support from churches in North America for the church in Haiti.

Please visit ChurchesHelpingChurches.com for more information, updates, and how you can be a part of this.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:10
